Oct 20 · Witkoff meets Zelensky in Oslo before heading to Russia
NBC News: Trump’s new push in Ukraine talks
Grade A (100/100). Oslo talks, Trump remarks, Hubbard
Lehrer score 100/100 (no deductions). Fixed scale: 90+ A, 80s B, 70s C, 60s D, under 60 F → A.
Juxtaposes Trump's campaign promise with [0:53] “Today on day 638 of his second term” (factual, but a pointed framing). Zelensky [0:33] and Trump are on the record; Russia's claim about Hubbard is attributed [1:09] “who Russia says it captured fighting for Ukraine.”
Agrees: Witkoff met Zelensky in Oslo and heads to Russia next
Splits: Adds Zelensky on resumed intelligence and the Hubbard deal
- Met. Rule: assume there is at least one other side (Trump and Zelensky both on the record)
- Met. Rule: do nothing I cannot defend (Russia's Hubbard claim attributed: [1:09] “who Russia says it captured fighting for Ukraine”)
