Oct 20 · Trump says U.S. got “nothing back” from Ukraine but “high diesel”
Fox News: Trump: Ukraine has to want to settle this war
Grade B (82/100). Raw excerpt, no context
Lehrer score 82/100 (−18 omission: raw cut with no narration, no reporter question and no Ukrainian response: “[0:46] Zelensky has to want to settle this war.”). Fixed scale: 90+ A, 80s B, 70s C, 60s D, under 60 F → B.
Raw excerpt that starts mid-answer, without the Oslo question. Trump's figures stand unchallenged, e.g. [1:48] “last month they lost 32,000 people.”
Agrees: Same “nothing back other than high diesel” line [0:57]
Splits: Shortest cut; drops the question and the Hubbard exchange
- Met. Rule: do nothing I cannot defend (accurate excerpt of his words)
- Broken. Rule: assume there is at least one other side ([0:46] Zelensky has to want to settle this war.)
